Access the AOSSM/NHL Hockey Summit event recording in the eLearning Zone. This on-demand activity is a recording of the in-person event that occurred in Rosemont Illinois on August 9th and 10th in 2024. It is designed to present a 360-degree view of athlete well-being and includes the Q&As, workshops, and panel discussions. Get ready to dive into critical aspects of hockey injuries, with a spotlight on the nuances of women's hockey and the promotion of equitable practices.

Learning Objectives


  1. Develop care plans to address primary pre-game readiness, in-game injury, and post-game treatment and recovery factors.
  2. Develop an approach to mental health and performance.
  3. Identify needs of special hockey populations (women and youth), including differences in injury presentation, preventative measures, and holistic health/MSK concerns unique to the demographic.
  4. Apply evidence-based practices on hockey player concussion diagnosis, recovery and return to play decisions.

  • Full two-day event: 13.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits
  • Friday attendance only: 8 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits
  • Saturday attendance only: 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits

AOSSM designates this live virtual activity for 13.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
