Fueling the Future of Sports Medicine

With the support of people like you, last year we were able to award almost half a million dollars in grants supporting sports medicine research. The innovations that will come from this research will help today’s athletes remain healthy and active for years and decades to come. Thanks to the tax-deductible donations that AOSSM receives from members and other friends we are changing the future of sport and minimizing the impact of injuries.
With your support, AOSSM is Fueling the Future during the inaugural Spring Fundraising Drive. Kick-off is May 12—the day the Society was founded in 1972. Every gift through July 31, 2023, will count toward our $40,000 goal to support programs such as the Fellows Course, the Surgical Skills Assessment Program, Young Investigator Research Awards, Osteoarthritis Research, and other research grants.
Race to the Top!
In the spirit of the friendly competition, we’ll be recognizing the Council of Delegates regions and states that reach key milestones during the campaign. Awards* will be given for:
- The region with the highest percentage of members who donate (members living and working outside the United States are recognized together as a single region)
- The region that boasts the largest average donation, in dollars
- The first state to achieve 100% participation from members (members living and working outside the United States are recognized together as a single unit, i.e. “state”)
Join the line-up of AOSSM supporters and show your commitment to orthopaedic sports medicine research, Fellowship and patient care. Fuel the Future and give today.
For questions, please contact Melanie Stanton, CAE, CFRE, Senior Director of Corporate Development and Individual Giving, at 847.655.8651.
