Facilitates integration of DEI into the AOSSM infrastructure, functions, and culture to better support the diverse populations we serve. Devoted to educating AOSSM members and the orthopaedic community on the importance, definitions, objectives, and practice of DEI. Advocates for the mission of integrating existing strategies and guidelines to mitigate unconscious bias and to foster a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion across all aspects of AOSSM membership, leadership and programming. Serves to promote the AOSSM’s evolution toward a more inclusive and diverse society with respect to operations, education, community engagement and patient care.
