It’s time to pass the torch!
The Video Journal of Sports Medicine (VJSM) extends a call for submissions to the 3rd annual VJSM Fellows Video Challenge to be held at the AOSSM Annual Meeting, July 8-11 in Seattle Washington. Video techniques submitted by current sports medicine fellows, or residents planning a career path in sports medicine, will be presented at a special session at the Annual Meeting, with award recognition for the top videos as determined by a panel of esteemed judges.
Your video should be 8-10** minutes and may highlight:
- surgical technique
- patient evaluation or physical exam
- rehabilitation technique
- return to play evaluation or strategy
- any topic in the area of sports medicine
Videos should be formatted and narrated per the VJSM author guidelines. The lead author for the video submission (current or future sports medicine fellow) should provide the narration and plan to attend the live session. If the fellow cannot attend, then a co-author (program faculty, co-fellow, etc.) can attend in their place. All video techniques presented in this session will undergo subsequent peer review and consideration for publication in VJSM following the annual meeting.
To participate, please submit your video by April 15th, 2026 at https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/vjsm and select “Fellows Video Challenge 2026” as the manuscript type.
** For the video presentations at the meeting, finalists will need to provide a 3-5 min version of their video
