CME Information
The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) seeks to provide orthopaedic surgeons and other professionals who provide comprehensive health services for the care of athletes and active people of all ages and abilities with evidence-based continuing medical education activities that are:
- high-quality,
- unbiased,
- up-to-date,
- learner-driven, and
- produced in a variety of formats.
The expected results of our educational program are that learners will reflect on their own practice of sports medicine and integrate their educational experiences with their practice as they continuously improve patient care and outcomes.
Specifically, we expect that they will report change in competence by indicating that they intend to apply new knowledge, skills and judgement in surgical decision-making, diagnosis determination, developing treatment options, and evaluation of rehabilitation status, or that they will express an intent to change an aspect of their practice in response to the educational experience.
The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
AOSSM designates this live in-person activity for 10.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
AOSSM designates this live virtual activity for 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
