Legacy Giving: Sustaining Order of Merit

AOSSM would like to thank those who have included the Society in their estate planning.

Legacy giving is a meaningful way to extend your commitment to AOSSM and help shape the future of orthopaedic sports medicine for generations to come. By including AOSSM in your estate plans through a will or trust, life insurance policy, retirement account, or other planned gift, you can create a lasting impact while preserving flexibility for your financial needs today. Legacy gifts provide vital long-term support for AOSSM’s mission, helping advance innovative research, world-class education, scholarships, and opportunities for the next generation of sports medicine professionals.

Depending on the type of gift and your individual circumstances, planned giving may also offer valuable financial and tax benefits, including potential estate or income tax advantages. We encourage you to consult with your financial, tax, or legal advisor to determine the giving strategy that best supports your goals and creates the legacy you wish to leave.

Champions Circle

AOSSM thanks those who have made lifetime donations of $50,000+

The AOSSM Champions Circle recognizes a distinguished community of donors whose leadership and generosity help drive the future of orthopaedic sports medicine. Donors qualify for the Champions Circle by making a gift or pledge totaling $50,000 over five years, while donors younger than 45 may fulfill their $50,000 commitment over 10 years. These significant commitments provide sustained support for AOSSM’s most important priorities, including groundbreaking research, exceptional education, scholarships, and the development of future leaders in the field.

By joining the Champions Circle, you demonstrate an enduring commitment to AOSSM’s mission and help ensure the Society has the resources to pursue innovation, respond to emerging opportunities, and advance excellence in sports medicine for years to come.

Many of us have our first view of AOSSM when we come as medical students. What I think is most impactful is when I am here I see people of diversity representing the field. That is so impactful for allowing us to continue to encourage a diverse population of the medical field to enter the sports medicine subspecialty.”
