Traveling Fellows Take Flight

           Three AOSSM members from North
           America were honored as Traveling
           Fellows in 2019. Organized in
           cooperation with the Asia-Pacific
           Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports
           Medicine Society (APKASS) and
           with the generous sponsorship
           of DJO Global, their four-week
           exchange tour (March 28–April 22)
           took them to hospitals and medical
           schools in China, Hong Kong, Japan,
           South Korea, and Taiwan where they
           gained first-hand understanding     1
           of local cultures and practices.

           The fellows met with accomplished
           surgeons and scholars, observed
           surgical procedures, and attended
           scientific lectures and workshops.
           They met Olympic hopefuls at the
           Taiwan National Sports Training
           Center and Hong Kong Sports         2                                  3
           Institute, and for part of the tour, they
