Resident members are: physicians who are enrolled in an ACGME approved orthopaedic residency program in the U.S. or Canada. These applicants must meet the following conditions:

1) Applications must be submitted during residency years.
2) Must attend at least one AOSSM sponsored meeting within a four year period.

Resident members are not eligible to vote, hold office or serve on the Board of Directors. They may act in an advisory capacity, but are not eligible to serve on any committees.

Residents are required to upgrade to the candidate category of membership by July 31 of their final residency year. We encourage applying as soon as possible after being accepted into a fellowship program to enjoy the additional benefits of this membership category.

Please note that at this time, resident members do not pay dues.
