ABOS and ABPS Announce Change to Subspecialty Examinations
Starting in 2025, surgeons can take their Subspecialty Certification Examinations immediately after completing an ACGME-accredited fellowship. This change allows candidates to be assessed at the peak of their knowledge and with minimal practice demands, although they must still achieve primary Board Certification and meet other existing requirements.
