The “Big Reveal” Winner was be recognized at the 2022 Annual Meeting, July 13-17, 2022 at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs.

AOSSM announced a historic Sports Medicine Multicenter Research Grant in honor of our 50th Anniversary. This is the largest research opportunity ever offered by AOSSM, with a total of $400,000 available. The grant was created for AOSSM members who were part of a multicenter research group looking to take their project to the next level and obtain underwriting from major funding bodies such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The 50th Anniversary offering was funded through four special sources and partner collaborations, including AOSSM members’ generous support of the Million Dollar Drive, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) and our friends at The Aircast Foundation. Though the generosity of our members who donated to the Million Dollar Drive and our partners, this high-profile opportunity is among several projects planned by AOSSM in the coming years.

Finalists for the Sports Medicine Multicenter Research Grant were invited to Chicago for an in-person interview with a group led by AOSSM President Kurt Spindler, MD. The official “Big Reveal” of the winner/Lead Principal Investigator took place during a special presentation at the 2022 Annual Meeting July 13-17, 2022 at the Broadmoor Resort.
