Medicine Fellowship
Richmond University Medical Center seeks an Arthroscopy Sports Medicine Fellow for 2010 to 2011 to serve under the Direction of Fellowship Director: Mark F. Sherman, M.D. This AANA certified Fellowship Program is in its 19th year and is dedicated to the development of clinical and arthroscopic skills in Sports Medicine (emphasis on the knee and shoulder).
The ideal candidate will have direct involvement in all surgical procedures, office evaluation and care, on-site high school football game coverage and clinical/laboratory research. This is a busy private practice of three Orthopedic, Sports Medicine Specialists. A core curriculum in Sports Medicine is provided throughout the year. Candidates must have completed a certified Orthopedic residency and be board eligible.

The University of South Carolina-Columbia (USC) and the Orthopaedic Research Foundation of the Carolinas (ORFC) are seeking a highly qualified faculty leader to fill a new Endowed Chair and to direct the South Carolina Center in Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Sciences (CRRS). The Chair and the CRRS have been established by a joint investment of $10M from Smith & Nephew Inc. (S&N) and the State of South Carolina Centers of Economic Excellence Program.
The CRRS partnership includes academic faculty, clinicians, industrial researchers, graduate students, surgical residents, and orthopaedic fellows engaged in advancing musculoskeletal health and wellness through research, education, outreach and clinical translation. As a tenured Professor, the Chair holder must have the appropriate terminal degree (PhD or MD/PhD) as well as a record of scholarly and educational accomplishments and leadership in an area that supports the mission of the Center. The Chair must also provide leadership and foster synergy among the people in the Center, with a strong focus on translational research. The Chair will be a faculty member at USC, in either the College of Engineering and Computing or the Arnold School of Public Health. The Chair will also direct the research agenda of the ORFC.
