The AOSSM records the slide presentations and speakers’ voice for all of our live educational activities. If you are an online subscriber (purchase made with your membership dues), you can access the programs that are within that subscription/membership dues year. For example, if you are an online subscriber from the Dues 2010 year you would have access to Annual Meeting 2010 and all the meetings following that until Annual Meeting 2011.Your subscription does not include the AOSSM/AAOS Board Review Course. If you are not a subscriber you can purchase each program individually for $50, except Board Review.

2011 Annual Meeting Research Pre-conference Online

The Clinical Outcomes Research Workshop focuses in identifying basic and cutting-edge clinical research principles and methods. You also learn how to implement evidence-based medicine processes in clinical practice. Selecting clinical outcome measures that are most appropriate for a clinical or research population is also addressed. Learn to apply strateiges to set up your practice to participate in clinical research trials. By the end of this online workshop, you will be able to describe the appropriate uses of different study designs in clinical research. You will also be able to articulate the effects of study design on the conclusion that can be drawn.

The 17 lectures presented at the 2011 Annual AOSSM & AAOS Review Course for Subspecialty Certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine are included in this Online Meeting. The lectures were recorded during the 3-day intensive review course designed for orthopaedic surgeons preparing for the ABOS Subspecialty Certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. This Board Review course must be purchased separately and is not part of the Online Meetings subscription.

2011 Specialty Day Online

Specialty Day 2011 in San Diego, California included the Kennedy Lecture delivered by John J Callaghan, MD. Symposia topics were tendinopathy and ACL reconstruction in the skeletally immature athlete. Scientific sessions focused on the team physician and the STOP sports injuries campaign, hip, knee (adult and pediatric), articular cartilage, osteoarthritis, shoulder (rotator cuff and labrum and capsule), elbow, pain management, and fractures.

2010 Specialty Day Online

The combined session in the afternoon included speakers from the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.
