ACGME Information

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) is a private, non-profit organization that reviews and accredits graduate medical education (residency and fellowship) programs, and the institutions that sponsor them, in the United States. The mission of the ACGME is to improve health care and population health by assessing and advancing the quality of resident physicians' education through accreditation. Accreditation is accomplished through a peer review process and is based upon established standards and guidelines.

To obtain information on how your fellowship program can become accredited, visit the ACGME website or contact by phone at 312/755-5000.
