  • Fellowship

AOSSM offers a wide variety of resources both before, during and after sports medicine fellowship training, including:

    The Sports Medicine/Arthroscopy Match

The Match has been a great success and we expect participation to continue to grow among programs and participants. This year, 88% of all of the positions in the Match were filled, and 79% of all programs fully matched.  For residents, the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Match is attractive with 62% of all applicants receiving their 1st or 2nd choice in programs this year.  Again this year, 96% of ACGME accredited fellowship programs are participating in the Match representing 97% of accredited fellowship positions – 224 positions!

    Fellows Exam

The AOSSM Fellows Exam was developed to assist fellowship programs in identifying strengths and weaknesses in their fellows’ orthopaedic sports medicine clinical and practice management areas. This is a valuable tool for fellowship programs to use during training and strongly associated with preparing for the sub-specialty exam.  These exams are designed to be taken without extensive preparation to reflect the status of education and learning within the fellowship year.

    Fellowship Online Resource Center

The AOSSM Fellowship Online Resource Center is a one-stop shop for all current sports medicine fellows and fellowship directors to access the latest AOSSM resources, including Online Meetings, Online Library, AJSM and Sports Health.
